Take a screenshot of a window on Windows 11 without drop shadow effect (grey border in the corners)

When you take a screenshot of a window on Windows 11 using the print screen key you'll notice that a large drop shadow is present. Whilst this looks good on a white background but you may just want the window itself.

If this is the case and you want just the window itself you can press ALT + print screen, however this leaves the rounded corners showing part of the drop shadow.

To resolve this open the performance options by searching for "performance".

Open the performance settings

Alteranatively you can run the following command.
%windir%\system32\SystemPropertiesPerformance.exe

In performance options uncheck the show shadows under windows option and click OK.
