Mass create Active Directory student user accounts from a CSV file

In the following video we show you how to easily mass-create user accounts in Active Directory and the corresponding home spaces using a simple text based CSV file. It takes only a few seconds to provision the user accounts using a pre-defined template (available from our site). In the example we create several new student users in a fictitious school however the templates are designed to be flexible enough to support any kind of organisation. Close Adobe Acrobat right hand menu "Export PDF" panel

In newer versions of Adobe Acrobat you may notice the right hand pane that has "Export PDF" and "Create PDF" sections. It's not immediately apparent how to close this menu as it's not on the view menu. To close it simply click the tools button.

After installing vSphere 5.5 you encounter the following when you try to login to the VI client "The vSphere client could not connect to "servername". You do not have permission to login to the server: "servername".

After installing vSphere 5.5 you encounter the following when you try to login to the VI client "The vSphere client could not connect to " servername ". You do not have permission to login to the server: " servername ". Clear the checkbox and enter the username administrator@vsphere.local  and password as you entered them during the installation. You can then goto the permissions tab and assign permissions to your local and domain Windows accounts. “The VMware vSphere Web Client service terminated with service-specific error Incorrect function”

When starting the VMware vSphere Web Client service the service may fail to start and display the following error The event log shows the same message “The VMware vSphere Web Client service terminated with service-specific error Incorrect function” To resolve this error I found the following blog article that states that you need to increase the amount of RAM on the machine running vCenter. http://vmwiz.wordpress.com/2013/01/18/vsphere-5-1-web-client-service-error/ For information about our audit and documentation products for virtualization please see our Hyper-V Audit and Documentation  and  VMware vSphere Audit and Documentation

Error installing vSphere 5.5 "The wizard was interrupted before VMware vCenter Server could be completely installed."

When installing VMware vCenter 5.5 you may encounter the error The wizard was interrupted before VMware vCenter Server could be completely installed. If you try and start the VMware vCenter Server service you receive the following error Windows could not start the VMware vCenter server on Local Computer. Error code 2. To resolve this error open the VMware vCenter Server service in the services.msc management console and re-enter the required credentials on the logon  tab. You may find you need to enter domain credentials rather than local credentials.
